My journey is bathed in blessings! I’m the pastor of Crossings Community Church, a church in Katy, TX. Since our first meeting inside the living room of a local home, we have been growing into the community of faith God is calling us to become. Since that day in 2006, we have seen God show up in countless ways. I’m so excited to see how we will continue to be used as an outpost of kingdom-impact amidst this community and around the globe.
I met my best friend, greatest supporter, and the mother of my three kiddos in 1996. Lori and I had our first date at the Grist Mill in Gruene, TX that year and the rest is mind-blowing history. Our story is forever blessed by three wonderful children. The five of us live, love, and serve in the same community in which we graduated from high school many years ago. We are both very marked by the suburban culture, yet feel the subversive call of Christ on our lives within it.
Aside from husband, daddy, and pastor, I have an apostolic calling on my life that compels me to speak into the suburban culture and church. After finishing my graduate degree at Southwestern Seminary I continued on to do doctoral research at Fuller Graduate School in Pasadena, CA. Finishing my Doctorate at Fuller was a very formative experience for me. I researched and wrote my dissertation on suburbia. This process enflamed my passion to see the gospel transform the spiritual conditions that mark suburbia.
